Waldklinik – Hospital
The Waldklinik is a state operated psychiatric hospital belonging to the network of hospitals of the City of Hamburg. Its catchment area covers the entire western part of the Hanseatic City and it services the adjoining districts of nearby Schleswig Holstein.
The Waldklinik enjoys a nation-wide reputation for its Psychosomatic Ward, working closely with both the Institute of Psychology and the Departments of Medicine of the University of Hamburg.

The state-run rest and rehabilitation program of Hollstedt was established in 1957 and its services extended in 1969 due popular demand.
The clinic’s comprehensive offer covers the needs of almost all ailments. Particularly noteworthy is its exceptional reputation in the Department of Orthopaedics, the expertise of which was built in the 90’s by the Head of Department at the time, Prof. Dr. K. Fuller.
